Opening up the vault to 1999! Back when Freestyle Motocross was born in dust-filled backyards and raw training sessions, myself and fellow Canadian riders Andy and Reagan headed down south and I got to session with the Godfather himself, Mike Metzger.
Watch closely and you can see Metzger figuring out the iconic Superman Seat Grab (though I already had them down! 😅). This was actually Kris Rourke's newly built track—he wasn't thrilled at first, but we smoothed it over. Ended the trip heading into the Anaheim Pond for the Vans Triple Crown (VTC)!
