Today on the Van & Trike Tour I join Jim from Birdie Trikes and a group of riders for a Tucson TOT (Trikes Optional Tour) ride along Tucson’s famous Loop trail system.
This ride was especially meaningful because just days earlier I crashed and lost my drone in the Arizona desert while filming… and Jim incredibly stepped in and helped replace it so I could continue documenting the tour. This episode became the first real test ride for the new drone.
We cruise through Tucson’s beautiful cycling infrastructure, desert scenery, murals, coffee stops, and recumbent trike culture while talking about bikes, travel, Arizona weather, and life on the road.
There’s something special about riding with a group of recumbent riders on Tucson’s Loop trail system. The atmosphere is relaxed, social, and welcoming — exactly what events like TOT are all about.
