Beschrijving
The Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC) team is carrying out recovery work on State Highway 35 in Ruatoria to rebuild part of the riverbank lost during Cyclone Gabrielle and to protect the Rotokautuku (Waiapu) Bridge and surrounding area from ongoing erosion.
Most of this work is happening out of sight, as crews construct a temporary bund (wall) to create a safe and stable working environment before moving on to permanent works.
