Little late to the party for when I normally do these each year, but here we are! 2025 delivered for Mario Kart Wii World Records, and 2026 has already had significant feats accomplished. In the past year and the first two months of 2026, Luigi Circuit is now glitched humanly, very fast 3/3's were done on Rainbow Road glitch and N64 Sherbet Land glitch, the first 2:19 happened on Bowser's Castle NSC, the oldest active lasting WR (and 2nd overall) on Yoshi Falls was defeated, the tied 8th longest lasting WR on SNES Ghost Valley 2 was defeated, and much more.
I already have a feeling 2026 is going to be a big year for the scene, and as always I look forward to what is accomplished across the board. I started doing these annually for Mario Kart Wii entering 2020, and always enjoy doing this each time. I hope you all continue to enjoy these as we celebrate the accomplishments of the playerbase at the highest standard of gameplay. Good luck to all competitors in the year to come!
