Yoann Bonato et Benjamin Boulloud s’adjugent le Rallye du Touquet !
Les champions de France en titre, Yoann Bonato et Benjamin Boulloud, commencent de manière idéale leur campagne 2026 en remportant le Rallye Le Touquet - Pas-de-Calais.
Pour une première sortie avec la Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, c’est une sortie gagnante pour Yoann Bonato et Benjamin Boulloud ! Il suffisait au duo champion de France en titre de terminer le travail lors de l’ES12 du Rallye du Touquet, et une nouvelle victoire en CFR leur tendait les bras. La Lancia n°1 du Trajectus Motorsport a franchi la ligne d’arrivée avec le cinquième chrono provisoire de la spéciale mais l’essentiel est ailleurs, la victoire au classement général.
Hugo Margaillan et Mathieu Coppa ont terminé au deuxième rang à 19,9 secondes des vainqueurs dans leur Hyundai i20 N Rally2, alors que l’on retrouve l’une des Porsche 992 Rally GT, celle de Raphaël Astier et Denis Giraudet, sur la troisième marche du podium. Une autre des 992 Rally GT, celle de Thomas Anacleto et Marie Stirling, s’est adjugé le scratch lors du deuxième passage dans la spéciale Hucqueliers – Parenty.
Lauréat du Trophée Michelin Amateurs 2025, Julien Casale est parvenu à se hisser dans le top 5 du classement général dans cette dernière spéciale. Associé à Pierre Delorme, Casale termine finalement six dixièmes devant Éric Brunson et Cédric Mondron.
“It’s fantastic to be able to bring this car to the top step of the podium in its very first race! Friday night was very difficult; it was a real battle of attrition ,” he told AUTOhebdo. “We all had some tough moments, too, but it ultimately paid off because we were able to pull away, and that’s how you win the rally. It was really very hard.”
Always at the forefront, Bonato highlighted the importance of winning this opening round of the season to build a comfortable lead right from the start of the year. It's always better to defend a championship advantage than to chase the leader!
“It’s not the rally we’ve won most often, that’s for sure! It’s always complicated because it’s at the beginning of the season; we never want to retire because we know that means chasing points all season. It’s an important rally, and being able to score maximum points right from the start is great. All the better, and we’ll try to keep this momentum going.”
Winner alongside Benjamin Boulloud, Yoann Bonato finished ahead of Hugo Margaillan and Mathieu Coppa. The six-time French champion, and reigning champion, expects to have to fight for the title again in 2026, and while Éric Camilli is no longer competing in the French championship this season, Hugo Margaillan will, according to Bonato, be a formidable opponent!
“Hugo already finished well last year, it’s not a surprise, it’s a confirmation, I think they’ll be very fast this year too. We’ll have to reckon with them, we lost Éric Camilli but we got Hugo Margaillan back!”
