Idly, she walked down the familiar gilded halls, proper, undisturbed, armored steps ringing infrequently throughout the ethereal air. There was never any warning or fanfare, only her presence, lurking, listening for the door to open once again. With a sharp, inevitable creak, the flowing darkness turned to face her onlooker, her adversary, gazing in silent acknowledgement. The time had come once again, and there was nothing more to be said.

I think this is about as decent as it's going to get; I've had this project for a few months, but I kept wanting to do more with it, kept thinking it wasn't where it should be. I used to do yearly Nightmare Moon themes, partially because I had so much fun with them, and partially because I started music around late October/early November of 2011, so I'd have the themes act as markers for progress. This song originated from a short WIP intended as a joke (https://www.mediafire.com/file/mbep64if4a4ygoq/thoughtthiswaslofi.wav/file), but I kept running with it to see if it would go somewhere, and I'm mostly satisfied with how it turned out. If nothing else, it was a lot of fun to work on, and I can't be upset with that. I'll be back to work on more soon to see what can be done. Hope you all enjoy.
