In PTE Reading Fill in the Blanks, pay attention to;
What structure comes before the blank?
Is the action active or passive?
Is it happening now, later, or did it happen before?
These small grammar clues can help you eliminate the wrong options much faster especially with the verb form blanks.
And remember: verb form is only one type of clue in FIB. Collocations, prepositions and word forms matter too.
