During that Passover night (the “Last Supper”) what did Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) mean when He said:
“This cup is the New Covenant in My blood;
do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
1Corinthians 11:25 (Luke 22-20)
What is this “New” Covenant?”
Most have interpreted this declaration as Messiah replacing the existing Covenant:
The one He was circumcised into at 8 days old
The one God cut with Abraham
The one reiterated at Mount Sinai
The one containing the Law of Moses
The one that is called the Eternal Covenant
Tehillim/Psalms 111:9, 132:12, 1Chronicles 16:14-17, etc.
They claim that Messiah Yeshua, Son of David, turned His back on those,
in favor of this so-called “New” Covenant, as they understand it.
QUESTION:
But, if Messiah Yeshua really meant “New” --as in replacing the “Old”--
then where . . . "
