Adobe put an AI Assistant inside Premiere Pro (beta) that can organize your project, rename clips, and cut sequences from a single prompt. I ran it through 5 real tests to see if it's actually useful or just hype.
I threw real project chaos at it: organizing a scrambled bin structure, batch renaming still images, moving clips between sequences with one custom prompt, cutting a 5-minute interview down to under 2 minutes, and finding cliffhanger-worthy moments for a trailer. Some results genuinely surprised me. Some didn't hold up. Here's the honest verdict, and how it stacks up against my own AI Editor plugin.
