I tried Powder Coating a cotton baseball cap. I wanted to try and powder coat this to see if it would work. I don't think the cotton liked being heated up to 180 Deg C in my diy powder coating oven.
My Powder Coating equipment comes from Electrostatic Magic and is their Easy Coat System.
