Polestar Precept, a 4-door, electric concept car by Polestar.
Polestar has a vision of using sustainable materials to create new design opportunities.
Premium innovations like the 3D knit material covering the seats of the Precept. Not only does it have a distinctive look and feel befitting a premium vehicle, it’s made from a single strand of yarn.
3D knit made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Variations of this material have been seen before, but only in the fashion world. We’ve brought it into automotive. And not just for the look.
Infotainment were powered by Google.
To improve the in-car experience the precept has a Eye-tracking and the proximity. The HMI knows where the driver is looking at any given time and adjusts the different in-car displays accordingly.
While proximity do its work when the screen senses that a hand is coming towards it, a few things occur on the screen shows more information, buttons and sliders enlarge for easier manipulation, and the screen becomes brighter.
