The stakes hit a whole new level in Part 3 of our Pokémon FireRed playthrough! We are kicking off the session by clearing out the final Team Rocket grunts inside Mount Moon, claiming our fossil reward, and marching straight into the Cerulean City Gym to confront Misty. Just when we think the path is clear, our rival Green ambushes us at the gates of Route 24.
🌀 Mount Moon Escape: Navigating the final lower chambers of the cave, handling Team Rocket grunts, and collecting TM46 (Thief) and a Moon Stone.
🐚 The Dome Fossil Selection: Standing our ground against the fossil thief to claim the Dome Fossil (Kabuto) over the Helix Fossil.
💧 The Cerulean Gym Grid: Engaging in a grueling, down-to-the-wire endurance match against Misty's Staryu/Starmie setup, utilizing an intense burn-stalling strategy with Charmeleon.
💥 Ambushed by Green: Facing an aggressive post-gym ambush by our rival Green, utilizing Pikachu's Double Team setup to completely neutralize his Squirtle and Abra.
🗺️ The Route 24 Horizon: Restocking our Super Potions at the Mart and saving at the Cerulean Pokémon Center right at the foot of Nugget Bridge.
