In 1998, a series of seemingly unrelated shootings centered around the Logan neighborhood of northern Philadelphia began. It was not until the killer changed his stalking ground and was caught on camera that the nation turned its attention to the hunt for a murderer. But no one realized they were searching for a serial killer—until the man in custody began confessing to one killing after another.
For the neighbors of the hospital worker—once seen as kind and generous, but who had grown increasingly withdrawn and angry—the revelation was staggering. The man they had lived beside for years was now being called 'Philly’s Son of Sam.'
