Paul Stanley on the first time Kiss appeared on the cover of Guitar Player magazine

Stanley recalled the group's debut on the magazine's cover. The January 1979 issue actually featured Ace Frehley but included interviews with Frehley, Stanley and bassist Gene Simmons. Stanley's comments were made at the 55th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala in New York City, June 11, 2026, were he and Simmons were inducted.
