How do you start the loop?
I have a weapon crafted with Essence of Insanity in my weapon swap, so pressing weapon swap twice will summon some spirits, then kill them, which procs Heartbound Loop. This summons skeletons, which die in roughly 1/4 of a second, summoning more skeletons, and casting Forbidden Rite.
Because Recoup takes 4 seconds to ramp up, you will die if you let the loop go full speed right away. You will need to weapon swap in a slowly-ramping-up rhythm in order to reach the necessary recovery to let the loop go at full speed (like starting a lawnmower.)
