ABOUT:
This project started as a test. To see what Ai could do in terms of an animation style cardboard looking film set in space. How far could you push things, ideas and narratives when you can literally make anything you want to see. What works, what doesn't. What's easy, what's hard!
Years ago I was working on a film project about a father looking for his son in space - which I'm still actually working on. So this turned out to be a great chance to test some idea.
All the images were created in nana banana pro and 2 - which is much of muchness. And 90% of the animation was done with veo 3 pro package and then seedance 2.0 via flashboards. Total cost for this project was close to $400 - and took about a month to make. Some scenes were super hard to make work while others seemed to manifest so easily. Thousands of thousands of decisions were made after initial character design. Ai is creative and such a joy! This was super fun to make and ever more fun to edit together. Looking forward to making more Ai films in the future!
