The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is once again partnering with 7Eleven for “Operation Chill.”
7Eleven is providing the department 26-thousand Slurpee coupons that will be split among LVMPD’s ten area commands.
Officers will give them to kids “caught” doing the right thing, whether it’s wearing a helmet while riding their bike, using a crosswalk, or holding the door open for someone else.
The annual program also builds good relationships between officers and the neighborhoods they serve.
