I’m terrified to leave this here.. but all of you have shared your stories with me in the comments about how you relate to this song, so I thought I’d be real and open with you too.
This song was hard to write and even harder to sing.
When everyone left the video shoot, the video director and I sat there for one last take through the entire song.
My makeup had been through it (my eyelash glue was holding on for dear life.. kinda like I was), and I was exhausted, but after sharing more about my story with him in a safe space, the emotions really came out and we ended up capturing something extremely vulnerable and special. I’d by lying if I said I wasn’t scared to release this.
