Ligustrum also known as Wild Privet or Chinese Privet is an invasive species of shrub that grows in many places in the Eastern parts of the US and other countries. While it can be overbearing in an area once it is established, it is a fantastic resource for the woodsman or bushcrafter. Ligustrom aka Wild Privet is a resource that offers excellent construction material in a variety of sizes that can be used to make everything from primitive trap components to pack frames to camp cooking implements and so much more! It also happens to be an amazing best resource for fire making in it's green state if needed. I will demonstrate how to make a fire with green Ligustrum in this video so make sure to stick around until the end. This invasive species is one of my go-to resources when in the woods for so many tasks.
