[Complex] Tutorial How to fold a one dollar bill into an origami steam train. This is a variation of the classic 1962 design from Emmanuel Mooser that introduced world to box pleating! This tutorial shows step-by-step how to fold a locomotive and two train cars from a single bill!
This model will also work from any rectangle of paper of dimension 3X7 or longer. The longer the rectangle you use, the longer the second and third train cars will be but the train engine is a fixed number of units long no matter how long a rectangle you use.
For this tutorial, I managed to figure out a clean and clear sequence of folds that work for any dimension of rectangle 3X7 or longer. In addition, my version here features a longer, more tubular smoke stack, a rounder locomotive body, a more efficient rear locking mechanism and no gridlines on the the tops or sides of the 2 train carriages. And of course, no cutting, unlike his.
