To support the release of their Leaded album (Virgin), Amsterdams finest punk noise poppers NRA came up with a cartoon clip. The song She's Driving is used as a soundtrack for this ultimate girl power video.
The animations for the clip were made by the long time friends Roel Smit and Peter Pontiac, who emerged in the early eighties from the vivid Dutch punk scene. Still involved with the punk movement, they grabbed the opportunity to make this video with both hands. How often do you get a chance to draw a clip for a great band, dealing about your favorite subject: Women, Roel Smit asks. We are still thrilled with it. Peter adds: Also working together was great. It was a truly 50/50 corporation, where Roel drew the male character and I did the female.
Though this was the first time both cartoonists worked on a film, they are so amazed by the result that they are even planning on doing a cartoon series.
