This is a big wooden birdhouse that we originally put up in our back yard for owls to nest. Mama Squirrel got there first. The box is about 20 feet up in the air on a pole next to a big tree. The babies are approximately 4 weeks old, as their eyes are sometimes open. Mama will keep them another two weeks at least and then begin to push them out of the nest. IDEA: Write a short paragraph or an essay for school about what you have observed or just show and tell. Have fun watching. Nita
