DEVI is a folk-classical fusion band originating from Kalyani, West Bengal. The band has been experimenting with the blend of classical music and folk for 7 years now. As the name suggests, the soundscape of the band ranges from gentle to powerful, just like the changing moods of the goddess. The mix of male and female vocals further adds to the uniqueness of this band as evident from the varying vocal textures. The guitars, synths, and rhythm elements preach the earthen flavor of rural Bengal mixed with the diversity of classical music and rock. The band plans to release original compositions in the near future as work is in progress.
