New UCI Bike Computer Rules: BIG is BANNED!

Shane Miller - GPLama Stream 1 months ago

Description

The UCI wants to reduce rider distraction in the pro peloton, and I agree with the goal. But limiting the physical size of bike computers completely misses the point. The distraction problem isn’t screen size, it’s software: alerts, prompts, pop-ups, auto-pages, messaging hooks, and features that can appear on any device, big or small. Let’s talk about why this proposal feels like the right problem with the wrong solution.
