The Anker @SoundcoreAudio Liberty Buds 2 are brand new $129.99 earbuds built around call and microphone quality, so in this review I put them through real world mic tests at my desk, on a loud balcony above a major road, in front of the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip, and in a whisper test, plus a call quality comparison against the AirPods Pro.
They're powered by Anker's new Thus AI chip, with an eight sensor voice pickup that uses bone conduction sensors and Adaptive ANC 4.0 noise cancelling with dedicated wind, commute and deep noise cancellation modes. I also cover the unboxing, setup in the soundcore app with HearID 5.0, sound quality from the 9.2mm composite driver, LDAC, multipoint, and battery life of up to 12 hours per charge and 46 hours with the case. At 4.7 grams per bud, the bean shaped design is comfort certified by TÜV Rheinland, and they're the first bean shaped earbuds I've worn where I actually forgot they were in.
