This is my overview of Shadow of the Moon, a Nerf Stryfe/ Kenner Crossbow integration. In this video, I cover the major mods, inspiration, and goals of this project, with a lot of close-up video, photos, and firing demos.

[MODS]
3 blaster integration (Stryfe, Kenner Crossbow, Modulus ECS)
Minimized Stryfe to be half dart only and added a 3-D printed flared magwell for reliable performance.
Integrated Nerf Kenner crossbow
Integrated Nerf Modulus ECS top rail and battery tray (not externally visible)
Stryfe has been filled in with plastic flat stock and Devcon, smoothed out and rounded to coordinate better with crossbow shell.
Custom cut flat stock sheet (polystyrene, ABS, polycarbonate) plastic and Apoxy Sculpt to connect and complete integration.
Custom designed front muzzle with flat stock plastic sheet and Apoxy Sculpt.
Chemically bonded all plastic using Devcon.
Reinforced crossbow screw bosses
Custom shaped 3-D printed expanded battery door using Apoxy Sculpt.
Modulus rail extended with flat stock ABS and Apoxy Sculpt.
Removed Nerf rail and added top Picatinny rail
Cut M-lock slots into sides of the blaster and added M-lock Picatinny rails.
Bondo spot putty used to fill any imperfections.
Blaster sanded to 800 grit
Automotive grade paint job. Premium 2K primer, basecoat, 2K clearcoat.
Basecoat paint used was House of Kolor Wine Glow. Crossbow accents and grip Painted with Paint Huffers Kustom Kolors Smoke Show.
Cerakoted Picatinny rails, flywheel cage, trigger, thumb screw, and sling point yellow.
Eclipse flywheels dyed custom purple.
Complete rewire with 18-awg silicon wire, Omron switch, aluminum high crush eclipse cage, Banned Blaster 42 motors, running off a 3S Lipo.
Eclipse cage dart guide was modified to eliminate dart wear and take Talon mags.
Custom printed Bobo style rev trigger, and Foam Blast mag release in Proto-pasta Atikam Teal.
Added Metal Stryfe Artifact trigger
Lubricated all moving parts
Added individually, addressable SPI LED strip with mini Bluetooth micro controller. This makes the LEDs controllable from an app on a phone.
Buck converter added to drop voltage to 5 V to power LEDs.
Silicone led channel system added to the opening in the stock.
Custom cut polycarbonate sheet used for windows in motor cage and to diffuse top LED’s.
Added yellow voltmeter
Momentary switch added to the grip that activates voltmeter.
Push button on/off switch added to stock to activate LEDs
