There’s something about the magic of woodland photography that’s always inspired a child-like sense of wonder - encouraging me to explore not just the woods, but also my imagination. I see families, conversations, confrontations, dancing trees, but also mythical beasts and scenes that conjure visions of worlds and characters from literature and film such Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and even Monty Python!
These types of woodland photographs are just some of what we wanted to showcase in the 4th and final Act, Performance, in the All the Wood’s a Stage exhibition. It's a theme that celebrates all the wonderful gestures, relationships, and slow motion choreography of trees. They really are the leisurely performing artists of the woodland stage.
