The owner of an injured protection pit bull spent a small fortune on surgery after claiming the dog saved his life. Marlon Grennan, 28, says his four-year-old dog, Ace, once thwarted a carjacking attempt at a gas station by attacking the would-be robber. So when Ace suffered a severe knee injury during training, Marlon didn't think twice about spending $4,100 for the surgery to restore him.
