While Apple advertises that iPhone models like 15 Pro Max will get a 30% performance boost, what I did not expect is that iPhone 15 Pro max on iOS 27 Beta 1 would beat an iPhone 16 Pro running current iOS 26. This means the performance boost with iOS 27 is so massive that a last generation iPhone 15 Pro Max can beat a newer generation iPhone 16 Pro just because the 15 Pro Max was running iOS 27 update and iPhone 16 Pro is still on iOS 26. This is quite mind blowing and goes to show not only how bad iOS 26 is for performance, but how much better iOS 27 is! If you are an iPhone 15 Pro Max owner and you are on iOS 26, it may be a good idea to update iPhone 15 Pro Max to iOS 27 instead.
