After three years off the road, I finally returned to RV life this fall —in my new-to-me 24-foot Class B Plus motorhome. I set out on my first solo RV camping trip since 2022 with my black Labrador Sitka and my 13-year-old cat Missy.
This trip was full of firsts: learning all the bells and whistles of my RV, hiking new fall trails with my dog, and writing the first notes of my upcoming novel from the road.
It wasn’t just about camping — it was about starting over, finding peace in nature, and rediscovering what I love most about RV living: freedom, quiet mornings, and the company of my pets. It was also about reflecting on my past RV Life and letting go of the past.
