After my dad died, I pushed people away. I was ready to be alone. I wanted to close myself off and never get close to anyone again. You pulled me back when I needed it most. I'm not sure why I let you get close. Perhaps you caught me in a vulnerable moment, or I felt safe with you, but our friendship has grown in a way I've never experienced before.
Sometimes my fears can still get the best of me. Afraid of getting so close to someone. But even when things are hard, you're by my side, and I'm by yours. You have brought me back from the dark thoughts that I and others put in my head. You remind me of the reasons you love me.
You're so generous and kind to everyone, yet you also have a fire that burns deep when you are hurting. You're so funny and beautiful inside and out. I don't care what anyone else tells you, that's the truth! You're passionate, creative, smart, witty, stubborn, loving, and fierce. I love everything about you. The good and bad.
