Description
Most people don’t realize how much their balance depends on vision—until they remove it.
In this short, you’ll try a simple balance challenge: closing your eyes while standing still. When your eyes are open, your brain relies heavily on visual input to maintain stability. But once vision is removed, your body must depend more on feedback from your feet and inner balance systems.
If that sensory feedback is weak or delayed, instability becomes much more noticeable—often within seconds. That’s why eyes-closed balance tests can reveal important information about how well your body is processing movement and position.
The goal of balance training isn’t to rely more on vision, but to improve the underlying systems that support stability: foot awareness, nerve feedback, and coordination.
