Description
At the centre of a ship, the hull becomes a breakwater and the water inside the moonpool is calmer. It is also close to the vessel’s pivot point, so the load moves far less in waves.
That allows divers, robots, drill pipe, and subsea cables to operate in conditions that would stop an over-the-side operation.
