All the more reason not to go to LOWES.
Saying that MOEN 1255 fits 160657 is both true and false.
The cartridge, the main part of the purchase, is in fact the same but,
MOEN says not to reuse the Cartridge nut... QUOTE;
" - If the cartridge nut is plastic, must replace with new cartridge nut."
Poor English but that is the quote.
I searched for 160657 and LOWES said this was it 1255.
That will not happen again.
