Written during the white nights of a Finnish summer, the song emerged from listening to wind moving through the trees and reflecting on the mysterious relationship between nature and the human heart. Built around acoustic instrumentation, warm vocals, harp, harmonium, and subtle atmospheric textures, it carries a feeling of intimacy while remaining expansive in spirit.
Among Mirabai Ceiba’s recent releases, “Night Wind” leans most directly into contemporary folk songwriting, balancing their contemplative roots with a more accessible song-driven approach.
