Description
The Mimbres people were a monumental civilization who's homeland stretched from Arizona to New Mexico and south into Mexico. Around AD 200 Mimbres culture begins to make an appearance, and by 1000 Mimbres reaches an apex in cultural identity and social organization through material culture. In this video lecture Barbara Moullard discusses the vibrant and rich iconography displayed on Classic period Mimbres black-on-white pottery from 1000 - 1130.
