Tonight I witnessed a man vandalising a war memorial in Stalybridge town centre.
The Stalybridge War Memorial was erected in 1950 to commemorate over 600 Stalybridge soldiers who lost their lives in WW1 & WW2.
Around 8:50pm: a man of Asian ethnicity appeared to rip flowers and plants off the memorial display.
When confronted, the man climbed out of the fenced enclosure and walked away smiling.
The man is believed to be living and working near Stalybridge, Greater Manchester.
