Allen Iverson was the embodiment of competitiveness. He played the game with his emotions on full display. Iverson was not only one of the most explosive scorers in history, but also one of the most passionate competitors to ever step onto an NBA court. While many NBA legends towered over him physically, few possessed a bigger heart than the Answer, Allen Iverson.
Although Shawn Kemp was past his prime and his athleticism was waning, his passion for basketball remained evident in his play. As a member of the Cavaliers, he still managed to produce a few electrifying moments, though he was no longer the dynamic athlete he had been during his younger days with the Supersonics. Kemp continued to dive for loose balls, fight for tough rebounds, make steals, and execute key defensive plays, all while showcasing an infectious enthusiasm for the finer details and lesser publicized elements of the game. Simply put, Kemp still made big plays at this stage of his career.
Wesley Person possessed a picture perfect jumper and was the younger brother of the iconic Rifleman Chuck Person. Renowned for its aesthetic appeal, Wesley Person's shooting form was considered one of the most flawless in the NBA during Jordan's era and continues to be regarded as one of the best examples of a textbook jumper in NBA history.
Derrick Coleman was one of the most gifted power forwards of the Jordan era. As a left-handed player standing 6'10", he could knock down outside jumpers, handle the ball effectively, create shots for his teammates, and dominate inside when he was motivated. Although Coleman didn't fully meet the lofty expectations set by fans and the media, he remained a highly skilled and versatile player capable of delivering explosive performances on any given night. Zydrunas Ilgauskas also showcased his talents during this game, demonstrating his high level skills as a passer, reliable shooter, and also his scoring in the low post.
