This is an interesting and informative video about a rare phenomenon.
The Chelyabinsk meteor which tore the sky over the Urals region of Russia in 15 February 2013 was the rocky body weighing about 12,000 tons and measuring 19 metres that exploded at 29 km altitude.
The blast was equivalent to 400–500 kilotons of TNT and produced 2.7 magnitude earthquake. There was no victims.
