MeshCore: My Side of the Story

Description

Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of discussion surrounding MeshCore, the trademark filings, my involvement in the project, and more recently the wider community response.
I’ve stayed relatively quiet throughout much of it, but after seeing a lot of assumptions, speculation, and one-sided narratives, I felt it was important to explain my perspective directly.
This video is not intended to attack anyone or create more division. It’s simply an opportunity for me to provide context around:
• My involvement in MeshCore from the beginning
• The role I played in helping grow the ecosystem
• Why I believed the trademark filing was justified
• The distinction between protecting a brand and owning an open-source project
• The breakdown in communication and trust
• The criticism around AI and my views on its use in development
You don’t have to agree with my decisions, but I hope this provides some missing context and helps people better understand my intentions and perspective.
At the end of the day, I remain proud of what was built around MeshCore and grateful to everyone who contributed to the community and project.
Thanks for listening.
