The driver-focused cockpit transforms into a customizable command center. Powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the latest generation of MBUX offers an intuitive, emotionally engaging interface that governs all vehicle functions. The cockpit provides a variety of display styles, including ""Classic"" and ""AMG Special""—the latter featuring specialized sub-screens such as a central gauge (power meter/tachometer), ""Pure"" (a minimalist speedometer), ""Vehicle Data"" (temperatures, tire information), and ""Trip"" (navigation and journey details).
The MBUX operating concept focuses on the essentials: the """"Zero Layer"""" presents key information, context-aware suggestions, and recently used apps—all of which can be customized, much like on a smartphone. Connectivity services, such as Live Traffic Information, are fully integrated. A unique feature is the integration of three AI agents—ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini—into the MBUX system. The MBUX Virtual Assistant is capable of handling complex, multi-turn dialogues.
