What a gorgeous sight! This particular Mercedes-Benz 190SL entered the traffic scene in 1960 for the first time, on the Dutch roads to be precise. What we have here is therefore a proper Dutch supplied Mercedes-Benz 190SL. This fully restored car was been taken back to every single component part. The bodywork taken back to bare metal, repaired where needed before being resprayed in glorious black. The high quality of the respray is still evident today. The 190SL got new cable looms, lovely light brown leather upholstery and grey carpets throughout. Again the high quality of the refurbishment still shines through. Mechanically the car naturally also received the necessary attention. A fully new suspension was fitted. The engine, gearbox and diff were completely rebuilt. The finished result left us with the pristine car we have now. It is that kind of car that with its black finish is irresistible. Even on closer inspection it becomes clear that its beauty isn’t just skin-deep. The exquisite manner the sun visors have been restored and the tonneau cover has been manufactured are shinning examples of the superb quality of this restoration. To top it all a fine quality bespoke hood was fitted. Both inside and out there is marvellously cared for brightwork. A Becker Europe radio adorns the interior as the ultimate crown jewel.
