Recommended Weapons: Hyper Bomb, Ice Slasher
It's mentioned when you select the mode, but in Improved Mode, multiple weapons can destroy the various barriers blocking off paths, instead of needing the designated weapon to bypass them. This included, Thunder Beam, Super Arm, Crash Bomber, Hard Knuckle, and others.
