Meet Veronica, one of our caregivers, and Maggie, one of our rescued pigs!
Maggie was being raised as part of a 4H "market project", where children bond and care for an animal, who is then auctioned off to slaughter.
Maggie's family fell in love and asked for our help. We agreed to take her in and the student agreed never to do another "animal project".
