On June 3, 2026, at approximately 12:25 p.m., LVMPD Communications received several calls to 911 stating there was a man, later identified as 43-year-old Sergio Flores, shooting into traffic and at individuals near the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Sloan Lane. Flores made his way to the northwest corner of the intersection, where he began to fire rounds towards traffic.
Responding officers formed two separate action teams and approached the intersection, where they encountered Flores.
