Description
Does the Bible really say God only promises us 70 or 80 years of life?
Many sincere believers have been taught that Psalm 90:10 sets a limit on every person's lifespan, but when you study the context, you'll discover something very different.
Psalm 90 was written during Israel's wilderness journey after a generation had rebelled against God and forfeited their opportunity to enter the Promised Land. The reference to 70 or 80 years was connected to that specific generation and God's dealings with them. It was not a universal promise or limit for every believer.
