Description
The founder of Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis, wants "small, non-polemic ideas that are doable, that are not relatively expensive... that could help and improve society".
Speaking on BBC Two's Politics Live, he told presenter Vicki Young that "governments always want to focus on the legacy and until recently, have missed out the small things which annoy people and show people you're listening to them."
When asked whether Chancellor John Healey's Budget was all about small ideas rather than big ideas, Lewis said, "It's not the only thing that should happen in a Budget, that's just my side of the Budget".
Labour MP Catherine Atkinson, Conservative MP Graham Stuart and Annabel Denham from The Telegraph also took part in the discussion.
