Description
The sonata in A Minor for two violins and continuo, performed on period instruments by the award -winning Early Music ensemble Voices of Music. One of the most prolific composers of the 17th century, Marco Uccellini composed over three hundred works for the violin. The Sonata in A Minor from Op. 4 demonstrates his complete mastery of sectional contrasts, variation and thematic transformation to create a balanced and cohesive work out of multiple contrapuntal threads.
