Making Twin-Engine GoKart 2x212cc with 2xCVT: Insane Acceleration

Workshop From Scratch Video 3 months ago

Description

Twin engine go-kart build powered by two modified GX212cc engines with dual CVT torque converters. In this project I build a custom off-road go-kart and test the acceleration of a twin-engine setup.

To build this go-kart I used two GX212cc engines (Honda clones) that I modified in a previous project to increase their power. Each engine is equipped with its own CVT torque converter.

I built a strong but lightweight frame to mount the engines and wheels. Since the kart is designed for off-road driving, I installed off-road tires so it can handle rough terrain.

The whole project exceeded my expectations. Synchronizing the two engines turned out to be much easier than I expected. With two engines and two CVT transmissions, this go-kart has incredible acceleration — much stronger than I originally anticipated.

It’s amazing that such budget engines, when used in a twin-engine setup, can deliver this much fun.

Driving this machine is absolutely insane and a lot of fun.
