Description

The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is a time when families get together when the moon is the brightest and fullest on this day and to give thanks. As part of the celebration, children light up their lanterns and gather with friends and family for festivities. Dyl will walk you through how to make fun paper lanterns with your family!

Supplies: Paper, Scissors, tape/glue/stapler, and crayon/markers

Instructions:
1) Cut a strip of paper. This will be used for the handle of the lantern.
2) Draw what you're thankful for on the paper.
3) Fold your paper in half the long way. Then, cut slits (1-inch apart), leaving space at the top.
4) Turn your paper over, and bring the ends together. Glue/tape or staple the top and bottom.
5) Finally, staple the handles and your very own lantern!

String across the room or display it however you like. Get creative!
